The metal handle is hidden and can be pulled out to half, or the full way for easier carrying/rolling. The bag also has straps on the sides for carrying as well. "lighten up" Canvas material leopard print on the outside with soft black lined interior. Meant to be very lightweight, durable, and waterproof! The print is retired. The only damage I can see is a small amount of buffing on the bottom plastic circles, most likely from being placed and moved on hardwood flooring. It is not severe and barely noticeable, but I thought I should point it out anyways. This is a smoke free home, however I do own dogs.
